Jungle Gymnastics (Ages: Walking to Age 5)
The Athletic Edge’s Jungle Gymnastics Program provides
children walking through five years old an opportunity to explore
age- appropriate activities in a safe, fun, kid-oriented environment. While instructors
provide positive reinforcement - the foundation
for a great experience – children are challenged at their own ability levels and
praised for their interaction and efforts. Skills that involve tumbling, swinging,
balancing, jumping, rhythm, and hand/eye coordination are all part of the Jungle
Gymnastics curriculum, with gymnastics skills developed along the way. Equipment
is set up and effectively utilized to keep kids productive through their entire class.
Following directions and developing social skills such as sharing, taking turns,
and cooperation are also an integral part of our classes.
Jungle Gymnastics Classes include: Wigglers, Spinners, Bouncers, Twisters, Flippers,
Firecrackers, Mighty Mights, and Hot Shots.
Recreational Gymnastics (Ages: 6+)
At 6 years old and above, all classes are based on skill level, not age. The different
levels within recreational gymnastics for girls are Intro, Rec 1, Rec 2, and Rec
3. The recreational classes offered for boys are Boys Rec 1 and Boys Rec 2/3.

in nature, building upon the skills required at the previous level. Competitive opportunities
are provided up to and including the USA Gymnastics State Championships.

while Levels 8, 9 and 10 have no restrictions in the skill choice. Composition is
evaluated at all Optional Levels, except Level 7.
